Several of us are exploring how best to combine these 3 orientations to solution-finding. Let’s experiment and discuss how Futures Thinking, Systems Thinking, and Design Thinking might and might not work together to help us improve complex systems

About the event
Design thinking often optimizes for the needs we currently have; Systems thinking can illuminate why a system behaves as it does and where the leverage points are; Futures thinking can challenge whether this current system is what we should be designing for, or beyond it.
As ever, we will first chat with another person.
Then have a short set of instructions.
Work in small groups on an activity that explores what each of these orientations offers (strengths and weaknesses).
Explore when, how, and in which order these approaches can support each other.
Share our learnings as a larger group
